1/5 Nieuport 17* Scratch Build

I'll start off with I'm not a very advance builder, by any means. I've done a few electric balsa builds before but nothing near the size of this. I realize I'm taking the hard way, but I think I'll find it rewarding at the end.
That said I'll be starting a 1/5 scale nieuport 17 complete scratch build. No substantial plans, no kit, complete scratch. I will however be creating my plans over the next month or so. Starting with 3-views and if I can get the hang of cad I will try that too. In september there is a Dawn Patrol WW1 scale fly in at my local club, I would like to get it completed by then. This will be a challenge but I'm up to it, so I'll be working my butt off getting those plans made.
I'd like to fit a good inexpensive 4 stroke in if possible. Possibly a magnum xl-91 which should be about right for the size of the plane. Size will be maximum 70in ws and 51in fuse, probably around 9-10lbs auw. I'm not sure if this meets IMAA qualifications but it's close to it I believe.

I've gotten some work done lately, made the semi-plans. This took a lot of paper and ink and many, many tries to get it to the desired size.

The fuse length is 48in (4ft) including tail. I figured that's probably close to 1/5 scale (maybe close to 1/6 scale too). But to be honest I really never took scale into anything greater than looking at other neiuport models. I didn't also want to wast all my paper and ink!

Thanks Tim.
The front of the cowling is 9 inches tall . I'll have to be swinging a 13 or larger prop to get sufficient thrust. I have an O.S FL 70 4 stroke that I don't use anymore, that could possibly work. Although I believe a 13 in prop is the largest to use on it, might work though.

I'm sure that .70 with a 13" prop would be fine even with that large diamiter cowl.

I've been so busy lately I haven't had time to get on rcgroups, therefore obviously not being able to work on the neuiport. I did however have a chance to run out to hobbypeople and buy some balsa wood. But who knows when I'll start building.
