1 mm allen key for small motors

I hope this is the right spot for this.

I thought that the 1.5mm allen keys I had were small enough until I recently got an even smaller motor and it has a nano-sized 1mm hole. I cannot believe it! Anyway, I don't believe my LHS sells a 1 mm allen key. I'd happily pay a couple of bucks for one and do need it

Thanks!

I have some really tiny (1.5mm shaft) motors with super small prop adapters w/micro set-screws and I've found this to be the smallest Hex wrench that ya should need. Team Intergy 0.05" hex wrench. This guy ships very fast!

This is the next size down from the 1.5mm that most hobby shops will carry.

Most any LHS that carry RC Cars will have this wrench.

I have a 0.05" hex wrench that fits the really small set screws on the small chinese import motors. It is the smallest wrench on a non-metric Craftsman set (full size set). You may find one at your local Sears.

Thanks, guys. I do have from Home Depot a fairly substantial metric and non metric set of hex. The metric go to 1.5mm and the non-metric's smallest is a tiny bit bigger than that. Somebody for a review of this motor said it uses a " 1 mm Inbus " for the motor mount. That seems a tiny, tiny bit smaller than .05", isn't it, or will the .05 be just perfect?

Don has the 0.05" (1.27mm) wrenches. $1 for two and $1 for shipping.

Thanks--the link at the bottom is for a .5", though, do you think that's a typo?

I just on the way home got a .05 from the LHS--like the one in the ebay link above. It does fit. However, this motor actually has an even smaller screw that I don't need to work on yet, but it seems closer to a true 1mm! Perhaps Don has one of those

EDIT: I think I'm good now. I don't need the tinier 1mm one and the .05 dynamite screw driver thing I got from the LHS is very nice. Thanks for the help!

I fixed the typo on my website.

The allen wrenches listed on the website are 0.050" for the 4-40 setscrews I use on much of my stuff. I also have 1.5 mm and .035" Allen wrenches. The 0.035" turns out to also be a good fit as a 0.9 mm wrench which is used on 2 mm setscrews used in some small motors, like the 8 g C10 motors I sell.
