Will they work at that angle without rotating a little? What I mean is, is the wing thick enough to retract the gear at that angle while getting them to lay flat without sticking out?? Do you understand what I'm talking about?

Check out the pics of the turbine version a page back. The retract is mounted parallel to the wing, but the strut and wheel and rotated forward. So when it reracts it will lay flat....theoretically haha.

Yep! The full scale T45 has some unique gear. I have never seen mains mounted so far forward before.

Too bad we couldnt get the wing with flaps on it and the fuse with those speed brakes! What are you gonna power yours with? I'm thinking a het fan/2w-20 on 4s or 2w-23 0n 5s with tpx 3850 packs.

Tumbler,

Have you had the chance to test the output of the included motor with 3 or 4s batteries?

I am using the stock fan and motor on a 4s 3850 to start. It was only $50 more to add the fan and motor.

Truevine,

I haven't done anything with the kit yet. Sorry. I'll be working on it this wekend.

Brian

Great looking kit and numbers the video looks great and if it does fly off grass thats other great thing....

Up here in the North East paved runways here and there, but I haven't fond any with end 40 miles that are AMA approved..

So if it flies off grass fields that would be great.

Hey Chuck,

I don;t think we will be disappointed. I have flown all my planes off grass and have never had a problem. Just have to make sure the nosegear is a little longer to give a positive angle of anttack and off she will go. Of course I am talking about a well maintained grass strip....not the rough on a golf course.

I justy flew the foam version before work this morning. If I was excited to fly the composite version before.......not I am over the top excited! It tracks like a pattern plans and knife edges with NO coupling! The planes are virtually identical in dimensions so they fly the same I told....the composite is just faster!! Woohoo!

The speed of the foamy version looks pretty low in the factory video. Did you have a similar experience?

Do you think those vacum formed intake parts will fit into foam one?
If they do it would be nice to have them available separately to fix ducting issues with old Hawk versions.
