the full scale Hawks have bumps on the wing to cover the wheels ...i have a belly pan with bumps but i doubt that your gear are in the same place that mine are.you could try shiming the gear a bit to tilt the gear into the well a bit more.

I thought about that, but then when deployed they'd have the same amount of inward angle

Do they fully retract with the Sapac retracts?
Yes, The Sapac struts and Sapac retracts work together without interference and retract completely without adjustment when mounted into the supplied hard points. If your struts are hitting the air cylinder when retracted I would be concerned that you aren't achieving a positive lock and that the only thing holding them up is air pressure; this could pull the retracts out in high G maneuvers. Of course, this is not that big a deal when retracted vs. when deployed but still.

Thanks, looks like I'm going shopping again.Whats the point of retracts if they hang out and still cause drag.

Hi guys, i a thinking of buying this T 45 for a winter project. After reading all 292 pages i am comvinced that this model is so fun and quality!

As far as the setup is concerned, in case i will not find the kit with the motor and fan i am thinking of a HET 2W20 on 4s or 2W23on 5s for a start. Do you think these setups will hit 100mph?

Is there any other setup out there that can hit 120-125mph in 4s?

Another query i have is the weight of it on 4s. I am planning on some dsr retracts so i wonder if they will do the task cause i dont like messing with the air ones.

regards.

The V2.1 with the motor and fan has yet to be listed on SAPAC's website, but you can call them (Janette) and they will give you a "kit" price with motor and fan. I think I paid $249.00 for the V2.1 w/motor and fan. You cant go wrong with this jet, the build has been very enjoyable so far although I dont think I will have her in the air before winter gets here, I might have to wait till spring/summer!

Cheers,
Jetnfast

w/motor and fan means without motor and fan or with motor and fan?

do you have a link where i can buy this jet from Japan? In rc-warbirds they dot have it in stock and i think is sold without the motor. I leave in Greece. Sapac America dont send here and i prefer to deal with Japan or China shops.

thanks for the response.

Hi guys, I need some servo advice: I purchaced a T-45 V2.1, and their retracts from SAPAC. Since I'm a fan of Hitec servos, I was planning to use the following servos: HS-65 HB for the Ailerons, Flaps, Rudder, and Retact Valve. For additional strength, HS-65 MG for the Steering and Elevators. I know the HS-65HB may be over-kill for the Retract Valve, so I may go for a less expensive servo for this application.

What do you guys think?

Regards, Bonanza

Joe,

w/fan & motor means "with". w/o means "without".

wow that was exactly what i wanted to hear!

It seams that the navy painted T-45 is sold out everywhere, but i found the red arrow version named as T-45 v.2 too. Are the v2 red arrow and navy colors the same model?

in espritmodel shop all have the same name T-45 GosHawk

The red arrows and the blue arrows are basically the exact same airplane except for 2 things, the color scheme and the red/blue arrows have ventral fins where the T-45 Navy has an arresting hook.
