Hokusei Ultima: A bigger, stronger, and better EPPP?

It is apparently much bigger, seemingly stronger; but is it better?

Specs:
- Wing Span 1100 mm (43.3 inch)
- Length 1065 mm (41.9 inch)
- Wing Area 27.3 d㎡ (423.2 sqin)
- Flying Weight 475~485 g (16.8~17.1 oz) with no battery
- Propeller APC SF 11x4.7, GWS SF 1147, GWS SF 1047

Theres two videos Here at the hokusei japan site. I really like these designs and wish they were distributed by some US distributors,this is a really good size for park flying.. bigger but still very controllable in tight surroundings . Currently theres 3 planes in the ''SOV'' size.. the primus sov is cool to ''SOV''(super outdoor version).. these would probally be good indoors in larger indoor areas to .

Glue the wing and the stablizer tentatively in case that they need to be adjusted later.

Install hinges for control surfaces.

Install the main landing gear so that my Ultima can stand up. The horizontal carbon rod and the lengthwise carbon rod seem to be an afterthought design.

Now, install the tail skid. Notice that I didn't follow the manual but wrapped the reinforcement paper around the small piece of plywood, onto which the metal skid is attached. I think the tail skid ended up stronger my way.

Don't see how you can get the CG right with such a short nose, massive motor and battery the only way, then its too heavy

The manual suggests to cut the root of the horn for the elevator. I am not quite comfortable with this. Therefore, I have driven 2 holes into the carbon fiber strips on the surface of the elevator and let the horn stick into it.

Has anyone in the US acquired one of these? It looks like it goes for about $155 in Japan without shipping. Are they being sold here?

That landing gear design looks kind of sketchy. So it's not removable? There are so many good ways to make bent wire landing gear removable (vertical blade assembly works best) that its a shame to have it glued in. Many flying sites are better served with the landing gear removed.

Also, and carbon built in to stiffen the stabs and rudder? Can't tell from the photos.

Anyone noticed that the construction of this is very similar to the CST Katana, even down to the wide carbon elevator joiner and cutting off the pins of the elevator horn? Are we talking same factory or desgner?
