Thanks everyone... heading out for another flight now. Hopefully I'll have some more pictures to post when I return.

Until then,

Laine,

What I wanna know is where in the world did you learn to fly around mountains and hills like that? There sure ain't none of those around Campbell or Rucker!

Thanks for posting the pics and thanks for what you're doing over there. Stay safe!

Oh, and if you run into any of the 2/16th Banshees, tell them the folks from Pryor Field say hello. We met some of them when they refueled on the way to load up for the trip over there in December.

Reminds me of the high desert here in Southern California except for the smog. :P

God bless you for the work you do.

Nice pictures, Maybe you should park that bus of yours on top of one of those mountains and slope a model off the top
Joking honest
Do a good job.
Look after yourself and if you happen to see any Brit C130s say hello to them for me, I have worked on them all.

LOL, nice idea punkie... there would be some awesome slope soaring here!!! Add into that, that I would LOVE to have a sled right now... these snow covered hills are awesome. We see groups of kids (20-30 of them) sledding all the time. Looks like a riot.

As for the C-130s I have seen the Aussie guys a few times, and lots of Russians. I have heard the Brits on the radio I think... hard to tell, cuz Im no whiz with all the accents I hear.

Thanks.

Laine.

Great pictures. Thanks for your service. Stay alert and come home safe.
I was in the Army from 86 to 91. 19Delta20Echo9er Cavalry Scout.
That does look like some great slope soaring territory.
I will definitely be checking this thread for more of your pictures.

Thanks Kristy: Once a patriot always a patriot. Thanks for making the necessary sacrifices to be an Army Wife. My wife came after my service but she is the proud wife of a veteran so I will thank her for you anyway. She knows if the you know what ever hits the fan I am going back in if need be. Your husband is doing exactly what I wish I could have done by flying helicopters for the Army. I just never got around to becoming a warrant officer but I enjoyed my time being a ground soldier. I wish your husband all the best and he is included in my prayers now.

Hey Lain do you ever fly scouts out to remote observation posts or do you fly rangers? Or I donít know, what is your typical mission like? If you can say that is.

Hello everyone,

If you watch the news you have probably heard about a forced landing in Bagram. I just got off the phone with Laine and he wanted me to let ya all know that it was him that got to do a forced landing and he is fine. After 36 hours they are back "home" (that would be Bagram ) and doing fine.

I didn't know anything about it. I don't watch the news while Laine is deployed. So when he asked me if I had heard about him being "all over the news" I had no clue, I like it that way. Thanks everyone for all of the support to Laine and all of our troops!
