Hi Guys,
What an eventful weekend i've had as far as Autogyros are concerned.
Anyway the good news is that I finally got round to test flying my Kellet Profile which is designed By Dave Surace. I believe that this is the 3rd prototype to be made and boy I think he has really excelled himself with this Gyro design and is on to a sure winner.
Here are a few build photos for you all to have a look at and some video footage of the second flight.
The engine used was a good old Enya 40ss and the AUW was 69 oz, rotor diameter is 50".

Anyway my thanks go out to Dave for the design and all his help!!

Hi Dave,
The motor that is used to power the profile Kellet is a trusty old Enya 40ss using an old master airscrew 10x6...I think that it has more than enough power as it climbs really steep when full throttle is applied. It is a very stable Gyro to fly!!

Hey.....I just viewed the movie. Oh yes....the old roll to the left! We all have done it...I am sure I have more of them to come in the future! How about that profile? Nice and sturdy?

I can't tell you all how cool it is seeing my designs flying around in many countries, awesome job guys!

What editing software did you use ? and how did you manage to fit the two clips into one movie when only 100mb are allowed??? Did you compress them ?
Im not that well up on computers so excuse my lack of knowledge !

I have software that allows me to capture off of Youtube.....then I take the videos and make my movie on Windows Movie Maker. Very easy to do.

Also....you can take your raw video footage an import it into Windows Movie Maker and it it will compress it to what ever size you need. A very powerful program that is easy to use....

Ok,
I managed to get out with the Profile Kellet again today...no what I meant to say was my wife gave me permission to go to the flying field!!!
It has been quite windy today in the UK with a wind speed of between 10-15mph...but the Kellet handled it with ease.
The takeoffs were really short and the landings 3 pointers by just controlling the desent with the throttle and tilting back the rotors just before it touched down. I'm slowly getting to grips with this Autogyro flying and I am 100% enjoying it!
Heres a few photos taken today...I have now had 15 flights...roll on next weekend!!
