If I buy a astro 020 motor do I have to do anything if I put it in a pusher

I am probably going to buy a astro 020 for my zagi....with esc....do I have to do anything before I put it on my zagi..I guess I have a couple questions:
1. You can buy the astro 020 motor reversed timmed for pushers for 40 bucks more....what the heck is that? Cant you reverse it buy switching the wires?
2. If I do buy a reg. 020 astro motor with esc...how do I install in on my pusher (Zagi)?..thanks...

Hi,

I think you may be a bit confused.

Simply swap any two of the three wires from the motor to the controller to reverse the direction of rotation.

There are no timing considerations to change on the 020 and anyplace that charges $40 more for this, I would be sceptical of.

When viewed from the rear of the plane, your pusher motor should spin the prop clockwise.

Good luck!

Only the sensored versions needed to be timed for reverse rotation. The sensorless versions that are sold now just need to have any two of the leads swapped.

You can put in the stock battery tray. Trick RC also sells versions for larger battery packs at https://ecsvr.com/zagi/shopdisplaypr...r+Spare+Parts. You can also build your own mount. Take a look at www.yourzagi.com for a whole bunch of modifications.

I have a low use 020 set up for a Zagi if you are interested in saving a few bucks. Let me know.
