Interest in Doppler program?

Just wondering if anyone else has a need for an audio Doppler speed analysis program (runs on Windows PC only). I whipped one up that I could post. The installer is very very large, but the application is not. I didnt want to host such a huge file if noone even found it useful.

I use the program to doppler my pusher and edfs and estimate RPM. It is somewhat like the german program, but it is in English! Plus you can do advanced things like choose better time resolution vs. freq resolution for more accurate estimates. You can also enter temperature that is uses in the computation.

Basically just input a .wav file and follow the prompts. You click on the graph and it computes the speed automatically.

Here is a screen shot:

Very cool! Are you going to post the link on a website?

It would be a nice addition to the toys if accurate!

I'm interested too. Any chance your program could extract audio from video files? That would streamline the process so to speak.

because I am new to doppler analysis, how do you convert rpm's to get speed or MPH?

I was wanting someone to doppler this video, though it is not that great i am still learning how to fly at a camera-
I was just curious if it was flying around 100?

I'm very interested in this type of program, especially if the reported speeds can be verified by another method (radar, eagle tree, etc.).

Count me in. I'd even be willing to host it on my web site.

I have uploaded the zip file to my site for now. Not sure if I can keep it there or not. The file is huge, since the Matlab distribution package is just plain big. But the app itself is only several Kb.

Go here:
http://www.hyperdynelabs.com/RC/dopp...ppler_prog.zip

I included a small text file to get started. Let me know if anyone is able to get it to run!

I was able to install and run the program, though using it isn't really intuitive and the documentation is sparse, to say the least. It seems to assume that the user has a reasonable amount of knowledge of how to use a doppler program.

Personally, I've never used a doppler program, so without further explanation of how and/or what to select it's going to take some experimentation on my part to get any use out of the program.

It looks useful, however.
