Help request from Italy (Cox engine)

I need five Cox .049 prop screws. Unfortunately in Italy screws diameter are in centimeters only. Can someone tell me the exact diameter (inch) of the Cox 0.49 prop screw? I ask for suggestions for where and how to buy these screws.
Sorry for my English

Antonio,
Your english is excellent.
The prop screw on a Cox is what is called a 5-40. It is a hard to find size even here in the USA. It may have been a more common size half a century ago when the Cox engines were first introduced. If you google for 5-40 screws you should be able to source a provider that will ship them to you.

5-40 thread fasteners...

many hardware stores in usa have these in stock, but are usually in special fasteners section and sold one by one, the easiest way to find them is look for them as allen head fasteners. microfasteners has them cheaply......

Best source for Cox parts is ebay. Most sellers will ship to Italy if you ask nicely and have good ratings.

i had asked the same question in the 1/2 a forum and i was sugested to look at
http://www.modelfixings.co.uk/unc_cap_screws.htm
the prop screw are the 5-40 ones if you have a spinner like on the td series you need one inch (1") long and if i measured well the screws used without spinner are 5/8 inch
also, the back plate screws are 2-56 - different lengths of course for Sure-Starts, Babe Bee's and Black Widows. ModelFixings has those too.

the screws

Not sure about shipping to Italy, but:

McMaster Carr part number 90276A133 is a 5-40, 1" long, steel machine screw with round slot head. $8.04 for 100 of them. Should last for a while.

5/8" long are part number 90276A130 and $6.55 for 100.

They also carry Philips head in 1" in Stainless Steel.
