Looking good Claus,

It looks like it will be very lite weight. Will you be adding retracts?

Just finished reading this thread from start to today, took me a month of lunch times and I have been inspired by your build methods. I have just converted a 1.5m glider into a twin 76mm ducted fan beastie. Both ducts cut from foam giving both the internal tube and the external profile. Keep the pictures coming

Very nice Claus. Quick question, is it best to paint the canopy on the inside or outside?

most of the model cars are painted on the inside...
but in this case i have painted outside as i want it to be the brightness as the rest of the model.

this one will not have retracts as i have not found the right electric retract that can work with only 70 degree of movement.
there is room for that kind of installation as ducts and fuselage is designed for retracts.

could you not make your own, like the Crusader build and actuate them with a servo, or linear actuator of some kind? might be better than a commercially available piece that doesn't do exactly what you want it to do.

I'm still considering using an electric screwdriver as the basis of operating the retracts on the Jaguar. I wonder if you can use this method to make bigger planes like that? then again, I'de need to make better templates and I have no means to do that, since I'm not computer savvy at all when it comes to CAD programs.
