yeah, but it might stay up for about 3 minutes with throttle management in a airfrmae like this. its going to take a soild 50-60% power to keep cruising at a good pace, and a model this size wont benifit a whole lot from the extra power. with the 5000 4s, flights should be about 5 mintes or so, thats not bad. just look at the skyray for instance...we doubled the wattage, and performance was better, but it wasnt that amasing. these larger 70mm airframes just get to a point where the more power you stick to it..dosnt make that much change...now, a HP F-16 on a 5s 3200...we could spank that record no problem...

looks like a blow out tonite .....im not in that big a hurry to trash it due to gusty winds ....i c/g it at 25 1/4 inches from the nose ...im just fwd of the c/g shown on your drawings claus(about 3/4 to 1: fwd ...sta. 650 is where you have it im a tad fwd of that .....the kicker is if you move just a 1/4" one way or the other it goes tail heavy or nose heavy

im not real happy with the balance on the fan but i had to glue the alum hub to the rotor to keep it from spinning ..its real rough in the mid rpm's . the alum washer on the adaptor does'nt seem to touch the rotor much ...it pushes up to the alum cone but no pressure is on the rotor...i may have to counter bore the washer a bit to cure this proplem ....right now i can not get the hub off the adaptor .i'll have to get a puller i guess.(the rotor come off when the ca glue joint fails

i believe it has more than enough power to fly ,the ground handling is not as bad as i though it would be...but it so windy on my drive way i cant really set up the steering

Do not forget that the rotor you got for test is a test shot from the not hardend mould. among the things i have changed going from mrk 1 to mrk 2 is a litlle more center thickness, to make sure the washer has something to push on.
Rounded corners at the where the fan blade meets the centre. and different profiles for the blade itself.

thanks Claus ....i'll get it dailed in .....it is well enough for the madien .we put the "petro matt " runway in today at our club field . still windy but we might give it a try in a hour or so .
