I think 1/4" to 1/2" in front is about right. If not you can always move it back, If it's not at the bond and you attempt it you could be picking up depron chunks!

looking at the wing area....the wing break just looks too far fwd to me. and ive been known to guess a few CG's in my days! the guys that say at the break are guys that are flying flat foame drakens. its just isnt exactly the same with a airfoiled bird. especially a fast one. im going to say that its probably safer going to about 1" fwd of the break.

For some CG info, there is this from my old Midifan J35 Draken thread:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...2&postcount=29
Claus chuck glider tests and this drawing suggest it should be a tad forward of that:

IMO I actually felt more comfortable/relaxed to fly it at neutral or even a bit tail heavy (as long as the speed is kept up/alfa kept reasonable when landing... there it can/will bite) so I don't think you need to worry putting it at the wing break, though perhaps do some simulated approaches at alt. before taking it down to be sure, extra precaution.

will there be maiden soon? Exciting, video is a must.

but any how .. nice to hear from you..
now we only need airsally to send more pictures....

This is an exciting airplane to fly in many ways and here is something I think must be considered carefully during maiden especially being used to other delta configurations.

Actually there was no turn intended here, I tried to keep it down and straight for a retake and it just flipped over, similar to the following landing style just with the difference that at that time it just hit full throttle: (check first landing, second landing style recommended instead)

The MBS one can do the same:
Fifth flight high res
I did read about this in a few books given out on the Draken.
It is expected and to be aware of.
The wing configuration give this behavior when outer wing panels are stalled as CG suddenly shifts about half the fuselage length forward,
demands speed is kept up at landing.
Apparently a major part of the training to fly this type was also handling of this behavior as show on some clips on i.e. YouTube showing cobra maneuvers as part of standard training.

Not intending to scare you here, just something I think is very important to be well aware of.

it will be more easy to handle for the first time with c/g 1" forward of the break just like CN says. as long as you have enough elevator availeble if needed at slow speed
