RCM Plans service still operating 31 Jan 2008
RCM had some old plans of interest to me.
Of course RCM stopped publishing quite some time ago.
Their web site is still working: http://www.rcmmagazine.com
So I called their phone number and a nice lady answered.
She assured me they would still be there for anyone who wanted plans.
She took my order, etc - plans, article reprints, mailing tube, paid for by plastic.
She knew within seconds the name of the plan when I gave her the number - so their system is working.
Cool! RCM had some nice planes.
Hope this helps,

It'll be a sad day if that collection ever becomes unavailable. It'll be even more sad if modellers ever stop building from those plans.
With the ARF thing taking off like it is I wonder if we builders are not going the way of the dodo bird.

It seems there are quite a few dodos still alive - and building! While only one US magazine (Flying Models) and one UK magazine (Flying Scale Models) still seem geared to builders, there's been an explosion of "cottage industry" suppliers of plans, kits, and components to take up the slack left when the magazines and the hobby shops sold out to the Chinese toy makers.

I have spent considerable time the past few days searching for old C/L and R/C plans and it seems the past year has been a huge improvement, some older smaller businesses have turned to the web aswell.
I have several RCM plans though, and everyone is first rate.

Have you been here:
C/L kits, laser cut, etc.
I have spent way to much with them.
And not had time to build YET!

Received the plans and articles last night (ordered 31 Jan, rec 11 Feb - not bad).
Nice clean prints and articles.
Magazine articles also had another sheet with just text.
I prefer to get actual magazine articles for the pictures - they help me a lot when I have a problem visualizing the build. I like to build it in my head first. I know - weird!
Father and son spent some time going over them.
Son started laughing when he saw this one:
PLAN pl-864 cat. 1, SDRAWKCAB
