Hi Andrew here is a parts list with the jaycar part # - also a couple of drawings and a pic of the underside of the bridge rectifier and caps, which is just a piece of copper clad board from jaycar, ground the copper off down the centre with my dremal and wired up as per the schematic circuit. With the power supply in my earlier post the one with the craftwood front - I did mount everything in a jiffy box UB2 197 x 113 x 44mm (also from Jaycar - love that place) and to make it all fit I had to solder the capacitors directly to the bridge rectifier, just use a bit of heat shrink on the cap leads to avoid shorting, this is simpler.
I reckon with the transformer on your setup you would have enough grunt to run a 3 metre bow -

- "K252 DC Motor Speed and Hot Wire Controller" - $18 (oatley electronics)
all other parts from Jaycar electronics

- Bridge Rectifier (ZR-1324) $5.95
- 2 x 2200uf 50volt Electrolytic Capacitors (RE-6241) @ $3.95 each
- Panel Meter 0-5 amps (QP-5014) $17.95
- Potentiometer 5k (RP-3508) $2.85
- Plastic knob $1
- 2 x Banana Sockets @ 50cents each

- Garden Lighting Transformer 24volt AC output 6.25 Amps (MP-3045) $49.95

Josh, yes looking forward to trying DS - had a bit a go once and wasn't too successful but I now have a Stinger 45 kit to build, as I have seen how well Damoz one flies, and he seems to be going really well with DS, hopefully I can keep it in one piece!

I can report that there don't appear to be good slopingsites out at Carnarvon Gorge. But a great amount of bushwalking! On the other hand it's an ocean of thermal possibilities. Bring a DLG if you come out here. I actually bought one earlier this year but am selling it as I can't seem to find time to build it. I am a slope tragic. Anyway, signing off from Roma ...

Plenty of room on a hill top for a DLG, Andrew! Many a thermal has been caught while waiting for the wind to kick in. I'm interested if you do decide to sell it.

i've got some nice carbon plate in 1.5mm & 2mm if you want to roll your own. only catch is you have to roll a couple for me too

Qweshtioni for setting up Slopies with ailerons but no specific spoilers/flaps.

Am I better off configuring spoilerons, or flapperons to try to help kill the lift on landing?
