Excellent video. Great slope, terrific lift, tastey planes and good company. You can't beat that! (Well, maybe some of Samo's landings could have been better...)

That was now the second time this week I've seen a posting that seriously gave me that "I really,really wish I coulda been there!" feeling.

The other posting was RapidRaptor's thread about the recent, epic gathering at Eagle Butte, Washington: Slope p**n at it's finest.

I was down there in 2006. I almost went down that track. But I didn't have time to check it out. Is it a privatetrack? Do you have to drive or walk?

I think he summed up EVERY slope scene a treat! Perhaps he forgot our Josemi, who always has at least ten planes ALMOST ready to fly!

Beautiful slope, Sam's. Wish I had a piece of real estate right behind it and the necessary espousal enthusiasm! Maybe if we let herself have a little kitchen garden instead of that that terrible long-grass landing strip which 99.9% of slopers round the globe would cheerfully die for....! Could we arrange for a hiper-market, a Corte Inglés and a few trendy boutiques (and a golf-course, of course) discretely hidden away "out-back"? A couple of season tickets for the Sydnet Opera House? We would also need a F.N.H.S., with abundent supplies of E. European crunchies, balsa, glass fibre, carbon ditto, widgets, radio bits etc....

Dreams......, a luxury we can all afford!

Anyone can fly there , it`s not on private property . It`s only about a 300 metre walk from where you can park your car .
Dsing the point below the light house , Ooh yer that would have to be a good site . Trouble is there are all these signs saying stay on main tracks , keep off vegetation areas etc . We`ll probably try it one wet windy day when there are very few people around . Should get a few laps in before someone kicks us out .

Keep the fingers crossed for Anzac weekend. Lets plan a sortie down Bass way to Bass Hill, Mobilia or some other prime locations for top air soaring!

An exception is that if Cairns Bay is working, we are going for a HIKE!

It's also the same weekend as Jart Fest so bring you pointy toys!
