Well, as most of you know, Im kinda out of flying for awhile, well, RC flying anyway. Im in Bagram, Afghanistan for the next 14 months flyin Black Hawks. So, I'll still be around, just not with any planes for awhile.

As of now, its not looking like I will be able to fly. We have a ton of heli and fixed wing traffic here, and you know how it is when there is too many "big wigs" around. They will find a "safety reason" for me not to fly. I will try to get permission, but its doubtful I'll get it.

So, Im currently planning to pick up a electric truck for something to do. Probably a
E Savage or E Maxx. Of course, it will instantly get a Castle Mamba Max system, Lipos and Spektrum. So, it'll be done "right".

I have internet in my room, so Im always around if Im not on a mission flying.

Keep in touch guys and wait till you see the pictures of this place.... Tooooo cool! i gotta get a camera.

I feel for ya on the flying thing... good to hear from you though. How are those Barbie sheets working out? I've got some pimento cheese and frito's on the way to you, so when people ask you what you are doing you can still give them the same answer as you did while you were here. Along with the cheese and Fritos, I'm sending you a Team Losi Micro T. Could only send the NiCd battery and charger, but it's still a lot of fun to race around. Let me know if I need to do anything with the Morale people in regards to a flying field.... if there's any hope at all. Also, if you have a big enough area, I'll see about getting you a CX2 to hum around. Let me know..

Get the Stampede, its more simpler for someone like a Blackhawk pilot to operate.. LOL... Seriously though, I put a Multiplex 680 motor in a friend of mine's Traxxas Stampede and he put a large 3 cell Lipo on it.. Holy Crap... Still a brushed motor set up too... it was awesome.

No progress on the CX2 yet, I've had a bad case of the Flu. Will the Team Losi MicroT be o.k. since it's on 27mhz, channel 6 I think? I have the 2 cell lipo for it, but may or may not be able to mail a lipo to you. The Nimh pack that it comes with is still pretty decent and it hauls A__-- for such a little car / truck thing.

Yeah, us UH-60 guys need simple! Thats for certain!!! Im goin with the E Savage, Castle Monster Max ESC and Fiegao 8L brushless. on 3S lipo it should be a beast!


72mhz will be fine 99% of the time. I may get radio hits on occasion, but thats not a big deal on the ground. Shipping the lipo is no problem. Just make sure its protected!
