IFO better than a Zagi 400 - thats final.

Hi, flew my IFO for the first time yesterday, the zagi 400 is now officially retired from my fleet after 2 years of sterling service. The King is dead, long live the IFO! Happy flying!

I've been flying both this morning!

I know which I'd rather fly in a breeze though. You get two guesses, and here's a clue; it's not the IFO!

Tim, I would go with you on that one! Although I once took a Junior Sixty up in a gale, and even flat out with an OS 35 (well over powered - how I like them!) it flew backwards from take off until the wings slapped one another in protest at the strain and there were owe so many pieces to pick up!

Speaking of overpowering ... I once had an Algebra 100 glider (Mick Reeves kit). Got bored flying it off a bungee, so put an OS 10 on the nose. Next came a properly cowled OS 25 FSR (and a taildragger u/c). Then an OS 35 FP. Finally an OS 40H P (an old pylon motor)! I still have some excellent aerial pictures of Hanworth, the A316, the old airport buildings on the Air Park (before they were demolished) etc. taken with a camera pod hung on the side of this model.

That 100" wing sure used to flap when doing aerobatics ... it did eventually fold, I'd damaged it flying in a limbo comp (!) and it broke at the repair.

Hi Dezflyer, you are dead right, I love both as much as each other for their own particular qualities. But as you are American, you are biased as both of these wonderful designs are American!

IFO? Where could I see one of these magical beast? Are they really that much better than Zagi's?
