Micron V2 Heli -Dealer Updates & Going Brushless!

This thread will be used as a sounding board between micron owners and a US micron owner and dealer.
As a owner of three Walkera 4#3's i was curious about the Micron V2.
but not it's hefty price tag. $300.00 is a lot of money for a micro-heli!
But i bit the bullet and ordered a RTF Micron V2.
When i first tried to fly it i wasn't impressed. i was very hard to fly out of the box. i can fly my 4#3 very very well. so this was a bummer.
But after talking to the owner of the company he gave me some tweaking tips and now it fly's pretty well!
things that make the Micron V2 Better than the walkera 4#3 Are:
1- this little heli has POWER!
2- very very durable. except the landing gear.
3- just a tad bit bigger than the walkera so it flys well outdoors too.
4-you can buy a barebones kit and use a spektrum 2.4ghz reciever/transm.
5-Precision Heli has excellent customer service!
Over-all i think the Micron V2 is better than the 4#3 by quite a bit.
enough to warrant the high price tag.
and they will be lowering the price. from what i hear so far.
when i get the bare bones and build it up i will review my findings also on this thread. Read on to see how i get to a fully brushless conversion with 2.4ghz technology.
Cheers!

Hi,

Before flying a walkera 4#3, I had several Micron:
- Firstly a v1, which was flyable after a lot of tuning but which helped me improving my flying level.
- Then several v2: an ultralightweight example with falcon servos and Plantraco electronics in 900 MHz, one scale Agusta Koala, one scale Airwolf with retracts.

This is a very nice heli which needs a little bit of attention in order to fly properly. However, once set, it is maybe more stable than the 4#3.

Here are some links to Micron material:

Some videos I made of my numerous Microns:

Micron Airwolf

The build log for the Airwolf:

And most of all, the Micron thread which is the holy bible for a Micron owner!

John, I'm just curious, if I have absolutely no RC gear whatsover (mostly due to selling it all a few years back) How much, pricewise, am I looking at to get this bird in the air. Prices shouldn't be far off from what I could get as we are both in the same state..even though sometimes I wish we could give Tucson back to Mexico... j/k

the air frame is $99
you need bluebird servos either all separates or 4 in 1
or the RTF is $300.00
but the tx and rx aren't very good from what i've seen so far.

That is one ugly heli though. I think the 4#3 looks way better. Not to mention it is only a matter of time before they come out with the 4G3 with all the aluminum upgrade parts and 2.4 ghz radio. What would be real cool is if they made a belt driven tail for the 4#3.

yes it's ugly but has so much more power than the 4#3.
i have 3 4#3 and i love them. but they have hardly any power.
when i fly them outside they really struggle in any sort of wind. and that's only because of the weak motor it has. the mircron is more powerful than a brushless 4#3 and it's brushed. and has more room for larger componants on it's frame. so i can get over the uglyness.

Micron V2 will be upgradable to collective pitch? Or will it be a separate heli? When is this expected? Please share more info if you have it.
