Multiplex Fox

I have seen on the forum a Multiplex Fox, a 500mm un-powered easystar. I would like to buy one as a project to convert to electric flight. Does anybody have any more info on this? There is nothing on the MPX site about it but there is a handful of german sites selling it, none of them are in English....

Anybody know where i can get me hands one one? I'm in England

I've seen that plane at www.bichler-modellbau.de. Maybe you've seen it there too? Not much info but they ship to the UK. I'm waiting on an EasyGlider Pro from them that's on backorder. I live in the US.

Looks like it would be a cool little conversion.

Windrider also makes a Fox and its EPP, so it will hold up to those ruffer landings.
Theres a thread in sailplanes. Butch

Wow, that's pretty cool!

I'm actually most interested in gliders, but I'm doing my successful flying with electric motor powered semi-gliders such as the Easy Star and Easy Glider Electric. I love the Easy Star because it's almost guaranteed success -- my other airplanes and gliders are always in some state of repair or assembly.

I was thinking that for my next plane, I would try a pure glider again, but this time a foamy instead of the balsa ones that I never seem to have success with. I was assuming that would be an Easy Glider, but if I could get this Fox, that might be a way to start off with a better chance of success. It's also smaller (so easier to transport and land in tighter places) and without the ailerons and their attendant servos, it would be less expensive (and thus less daunting) to toss off a hill without having a motor on it. And with the gentle (and well known to me) flight characteristics of the rudder and elevator Easy Star, the Fox would seem to give me my best chance of repeated success in the air.

Hmmm, I've almost sold myself!

It would be cool if they came out with somewhat longer replacement wings.

Could you post a link? I did a quick search, but didn't seem to see anything on the same plane. Seemed to me that the few I saw were talking about a different aircraft?

Interesting -- I see it's also smaller than the Easy Star, at .49 meters. The first poster said that, but I didn't catch it. Might be a bit too small (around 1/3 the size of the 1.37m Easy Star), but if it is inexpensive, I might still give one a go before moving up to the Easy Glder.

And checking, for 9.90 Euros, yep, it'd be pretty cheap. The cable set for the Cularis cost 3x that!

Sort of a toy I guess, but I could toss it off the apartment building (I live on the 14th floor of a 15 story building) and mess around with it on a work day when the parking lots here are pretty much empty -- could be fun.

Thanks, Butch!

That looks like a totally different aircraft though, though it shares the same name (and is also a small foamy glider). Check out the pic, vs the one in Circlewave's post above:

I think Windrider was copying the real Fox glider.

I think this is a mini easy glider, that you can fly indoor or small places,
or a small slop, or even fly FVP(first person view) with a 10mw TX.

Edit: I have some small indoor stuff(4.7 D servos, axi tiny, and nano rx & 2p 300ma lipo) so looks good
