boeing 737-500 formers almost done

hi everybody, been working on the 737 formers today only took about 45 minutes. i have still got to add a second skin to the formers to allow for the 3mm depron sheeting. that shouldnt take long.

will post pics of the 747 tomorrow as i forgot today.

WOW! How did you get the nose so scale? Also, do you have to use balsa, if yes what type is it? Will the dimensions of the balsa be on the 737 plans?

thanks,
teja

hi teja, the plane looks better in person, cant wait to finish, i used balsa in the wings and depron is good for small models as spars but in larger models and where more weight is involded i moved to balsa, for the wings i used what ever i had in my shed, but in the tail and fin, i used some, 1/16th balsa sheet as spars, and in the fin 1/4 by 3/8 balsa strip. light weight and strong.

i will share all info for the 737 with you.

Thanks for the fast reply Brett.

When I tried to build your 747, I had the nose all messed up, so I gave up and quit.
For future references, what type of power system would be sufficient for the 737, maybe 45 inch WS? I would like to know so I can start saving! I would like to buy from hobbyking as they have the cheapest prices.

Thanks,
Teja

Thanks,
Teja

Hey Kozi,

I made my elevator the same as yours today... 2 servo's and yeah that's much better...

I wanted to start on the grassfield today but it really don't have the power to get off the field. The wheels are too small in combination with the trust.

So will try it tonight again on some sort of concrete... let's see if it will take off..

I'll give you the plans of the A380 once I'm done. I owe you one for the plans you provided for the 747!!

What is your 747's wingspan? Great clean work by the way, should come out real smooth.

How would the cockpit be sheeted with the windows for the 737? That picture posted on the top of the thread named 737 plan, is that final? It looks complete to me, except maybe for the wing ribs?

Thanks,
Teja

Also, maybe the title of this thread should change because we have a 737 on it! And possibly an A380.
