Hi, i bought this motor (Brand = REVOX) recently for my slow stick, it works well so far, but i was wondering if anyone knew any more about it? Or where /who manufactures it so i can get proper information to use motorcalc with..

So far nothing much came up in a search in this forum.. neither in google.. all i get is about the Revox Tape Deck machines..

here's all i could find out about it:

It look like you have all the information you should need on this motor, what else are you looking for?

What you need to do is run it no-load and measure Io and rpm at say 7v, 8v, 10v.

Then run it with a couple of different props and measure voltage/amp draw/rpm.

Armed with this information you can use one of the calculators (Peak Effic., Drive Calc etc) and they will calculate Rm and Kv for you.

THAT is what you need to put the motor into the Motocalc database.

Apart from the label and bell color, it appears to be identical to the Turnigy 2217-16.

Thanks much Dr Kiwi! Will do that, was also hoping to find out a max watt handling capability, but i just read somewhere that all you need to do is multiply the max amps to the recommended voltage (in this case 3S*18 Amps = 199.8 Watts). But that's what i was looking for.. the Rm and Io.

Bruce - just checked... yes... you're right..it is almost identical.. except the REVOX is 1000 Kv.. cheers!

Correction... the REVOX is "said to be 1000Kv".

The Turnigy is "said to be 1050Kv", but it has been calculated at 1111Kv and 1145Kv.. so who knows what your REVOX actually is.

K... I hear what you're saying... manufacturer's claims vs reality...
