Need an aerobatic aircraft for a G-38?

Need some ideas on what aircraft to put my new G-38 on. This is my first
venture into gas.

No offense intended, Andy, but you bought the wrong engine if aerobatics is
your goal.

The Stinger 120 comes pretty close but the engine is just too heavy.

Depends on what kind of aerobatics you want to do.
The new 3-D style is probably out. But you can fly a clipped wing Taylorcraft
and do some aerobatic stuff. Most 1/5 to 1/4 scale planes can do some
aerobatics. Your problem will be keeping the plane light and finding a good
size cowl to hide that engine in. Are you looking for scale or other designs?
The stinger comes to mind as a possible non-scale bird. The designs are out
there, look at plans from RCM as a start. What ever you end up with, that
engine will run great for you, I really like mine.

Unlimited and 3-D have spoiled us. G-38 is great engine for scale like
aerobatics on a number of planes.
Stinger 120: g-38 is a great combo. Needs some tailweight, but plane is light
anyway.

You are correct, Gerry. I withdraw my former comment.

As mentioned in another post, the Combat 2.7 (Lynch's Hanger) is also
an excellent model for flying sport aerobatics with this engine.
