Yea, I think they say it's cloudy and rainy up till Friday. If the plant is open, I can get us access to a fairly large set of buildings with pretty good lighting. I'm not much of an inside flyer. I'll keep an eye on the forecasts.

I just ran through a full pack of backflips with the EXI, 25 or 30 of them. First time ever doing it ( after ALOT of sim practice.) The bird handled very well, even with 325s it wanted to flip. I think it will do even better with some 315s and a 100% flat curve. I'm already looking for a motor with more punch. I gotta say this heli is passin' the test.

That is great to hear Hydro. I am looking to put together a Trainer bird. This might just be the ticket .

Thanks again for taking the risk and putting this bird to the test.

I changed mine out becuase the end of the new one was smashed a little. It still probably would have worked, but I diddn't want to risk the boom slipping in the block.

For $100 its not a bad deal. The quality is not that of a T-Rex....but it's only $100. I have a couple hundred flights or so and it's still performing well. I think I will be using it for a scale project.

A better option might be a T-Rex SA w/esc & motor for $200.

Hmm.. well i cratered my King2 last night.. broke the frame and parts of the head.
Instead of rebuilding it as a king2 I was thiking about buying this for 100 bucks and rebuilding as a 450.
my king2 had a 4300 outrunner and ESC on a DX6i and 6200 receiver.
with at least 6 spare esky 8g servos.
would this be an option for me?

I would love to help but I have no experience with those electronics. I think it will all depend on your flying style. I think the King2 stuff may be ok for mild FF but I dont want to give you bad info. The EXI kit is only $99 so the gamble isn't too great.

Mabey PM Stutts121472. He built his more of as a "budget style" bird.

US, everything you got will work but the motor the kv is to high it will get hot you need a 3550kv motor or something around that. i bought a 3550 motor at helidirect for like $20 it is a hdx motor. i have flown mine about 100 times and love it

Ah ok thats kinda what i thought.
so buy the barebones with the motor and ESC option and get rid of this one.
for sure some food for thought.

99 bucks for a Trex compatable machine I can get parts for 2 miles away.

which motor do you have USNAviationjay? The kv is not as important as the watts the motor can put out.
