Are the parts on the EXI 450 helis interchangable regardless of what one you get? Do Align feathering shafts and mainshafts work with these? Looking for something different after having a Blade 400 and these seem like a good deal but hard to tell the differences in these. They have metal, plastic, carbon, CNC and various mixes of them.

I really do not want a metal frame, prefer belt drive and want something tha I can use Align parts on.

The CF 450 for $77 is to the best of my knowlege 100% compatible. I think there may be something like a bearing or something not compatible but someone else may have to chime in.

I maidened one of these a few weeks ago for a guy who is ditching his Blade 400 for the EXI. WAY more stable than his BLADE 400. EXI 450 parts are also much cheaper! Personally I can't stand the Eflite helis (except maybe the MSR) because of the local hobby shops lack of knowledge of them and how much the parts they were selling for. They kept telling him what to buy and getting him to buy more than what He needed.

OK, then 99% cause the servos are not so low that they interfere w/ the maingear like a trex.

How is it ratically non-trex other than that frac?
It's not the genesis frame.
What else?

I wish I need one

Don't forget that shipping on helis can get over $10 so if you are getting other stuff, you may be better off using the free shipping coupon.

I got my EXI in the air last night. Best thing around for the money. And sorry, but my Trex had issues with its plastic after the first flight. This one seems better. And at what like, 1/5 the price. I am sold on the clones, and not looking back.

if/when you break the plastic, you will find the EXI metal head/tail just as impressive and inexpensive. the plastic tail is known to be weak on the $39 bird, or it was.

there are some differences in quality amongst the clones: eg EXI and CopterX have good reps, flasher and HK450 less so, but the HK metal parts are good quality if you need super cheap replacements, and EXI is also excellent in quality and price.

in general clones with metal frames are less durable than those with FG or CF frames, and you can replace the metal frame with the more durable materials at very low cost.

xheli/hobbypartz is like hong kong in america without the long and expensive delivery

it's a very good time for ppl involved with this hobby

they do want alot of money for the name but, by the time you build a clone and get it functioning at the trex level there wont be much difference in what is invested, alittle maybe, base kit price isnt the issue although its nice to save a few dimes, its what do you want to put that 500$ worth of lectrics in, if its a clone definitely not a turd .. if you slap chinaworld electrics in them you can make a functioning and flyable and possibly quite satifactory model .. but a trex it wont be, tis how i feel about it anyhoos .. i got that stuff thanks
