Which radio is good for me????

I'm getting back into RC after a 15+ years. I have ordered a Zagi Fixx and was planning on getting a Hitec Focus 3. Lately, however, I was wondering if I should pay a little more and get a Flash 5 so I have more options for future planes. Money is kinda tight right now.

Is it worth it to get the Flash 5 for future options or is the Focus 3 good for most needs. Does a 3 channel park flyer really benefit from a computer radio. I bet I'll fly park flyers and slope flyers in the future?

Do you have any different suggestions than a Flash 5?

Does anyone have a used radio for sale that might fit my needs. The Fixx needs the Hitec 55 servos?

Thanks, Doug

Doug,
If there is anyway you can swing it I would suggest you start off with a flash 5. I went the route you are discussing when I returned to RC and in less than a year bought Focus 3, then Focus 4 then Laser 6 and now have an eclipse 7! That would be wasteing a bunch of money except in my case the kids and grandkids benifited from my dumb purchasing practices. When my son in Florida wanted to learn to fly I bought a Flash 5 for him which I feel is the minimum first radio! JMHO! The old saying "buy cheap.. buy twice" is sure true in Radios!

Focus 3 is a fine radio I have one. But save if you have to and get a flash 5x, I also have one.
