Cargo uses 6V speed 400s. Only calls for 7 cells. Going to have to wire them all in parallel so that each motor will see 7 volts.

That's why I asked the question; can't imagine 4 in parallel. 50 to 60 amps, not nice.
2x2 on 12 cells I could see; maybe OK performance w/6 volt S400 & Gunther props. 30 amp ESC wouls still be needed.

I am currently half way through the assembly of a Cargo. Its amazing really how sophisticated foamies have become. The wings plug into a grp joiner and the centre section (bomb bay) is a liteply cradle.
The batteries are designed to go into the nose section (like the twin star) so a bit of modification may be needed to accomodate 14 cells and retain the CG.
Multiplex advise if ROG is required geared 400 would be better (the model is supplied with 6v 400s and Gunthers) but the max prop size is around 7" diameter due to the nacelles being on 7.5" apart. I am planning to fit 4 x 450 Turbos with 7x4 props on direct drive. This should pull around 55A on 8 cells, with 50 oz of static pull. So it looks like a quick take off and some half throttle cruising is the order of the day.
The bomb bay is quite large and my plan is to build a RC parchutist of about 8" tall (Robbe used to make one, but it was about 18" tall).

slide the tail/fin back so LE = stab LE.
flatten/decrease the radius at the top of the tail.
carve a little on the fuselage top.
re-shape the nose a bit.
add a shaped extension to the fuselage tail aft of stab & fin.
add top, chin, and ball turrets.
Results -- Stand-off/look a sorta like a B-17G!!
Maybe since its late, they've changed the molds so we won’t have to do as much carving. Or probably not since, its likely to have been designed in Germany.

Dunno about that but be thankful for the chance for some of the wrinkels to be Beta tested out before they arrive over there.
Our LHS received four last week- two had their backs broken in transit- supposedly some problem with the packaging- not unknown in other foamie kits and something that might just come out with the first ones shipped in anger.
That plus the comments on the need for throttle-elevator mixing mentioned in an earlier Cargo thread is enough to make me hang fire until any potential teething troubles are sorted out by the time the second or third run of kits come out.
We do have the parachutists though!! They work just great.

What's the deal? Does Multiplex have something against rudders?
Proportionally, it looks even smaller than on the Twinstar.
