yeah it's a hard one to get your head around.

i have been reading that the Revo is one tough truck although only 1/10th scale. i was hoping to go for a big truck (1/8th scale)... I also heard from my LHS that the LST2 is now discontinued and there is something new coming out to replace... I don't get much time to get up to speed with what is going on but any idea what is coming out??? any body?

even if the LSt2 discontinues parts will be around for many years.
i have owned all that you have listed. Between them, i would recommend either the Savy 4.6X or the LST2. I have had an aftershock also and wound up modding it with LST2 parts.

Thanks for the advice.... do you think the LST2 needs hop ups or is it tough enough as is for bashing? On Youtube I have seen some pretty amazing things that this truck can do and has done.

cheers.

The Revo really is a Truggy for all intensive puposes. It has a really low centre of gravity and a pretty wide track. If you don't run your suspension too hard, it won't tip very often at all - on gravel at least.

I've had my Revos for about 3-4 weeks now and absolutely love it. It is THE BEST value for money truck on the market today. Period. Yeah, it's a little dearer, but it has all the crap you need to hop-up others with, straight out of the box.

Traxxas seem to be the Rolls Royce of RTR RC cars/trucks. Trust me,l I did all this research 2 months ago and came out with the Revo 3.3 and today, I'm going to buy a Jato. Everything on their cars is well engineered and provided you're not stupid and go around repeatedly running into $#!+ at full speed, they're pretty damned tough!

My $0.02

I have had my Revo 2.5 for a couple of years now and It has gone through 2 3.3s so far (what can I say, I'm a basher). This Truck Rips. My Dad and my best friend liked it so much they both bought one. I have put it over 12' in the air and cleared more than a 20' span, and no damage. Of course that was after I put a Titanium rollcage on it. You can set it up to wheelie like there is no tomorrow or with the new 3.3 make it launch without wheelies. It has more adjustability and more technology than any other MT right out of the box. Parts have broken, but that will happen from stupidity on any truck. Bottom line is you more than likely will not be disappointed. I'm not. Just my $0.02

Thanks guys Revo is looking good.... I have a Nitro Rustler 2.5 and just love it. It so fast and tough although recently broken the rear shock tower. Parts are cheap and common. That is the great thing about Traxxas i guess and yes they are well made and have great back up...

I was tending towards the Losi LST2 but I am shifting to the Revo 3.3!!! :-)

Thanks again all you have contributed... it's so great to get 'real' reviews.

If you're looking to backyard bash, nothing beats the new Savage.
