yeah, I think you'd be in your trailer on it's side for sure!!

The cularis is ready to go, and comes with a lipo pack, so no need to order one really. I'd have to look but i'm pretty sure it's a 2100mah 3 cell

so you'd just need your balancer......

Hmmmm....I don't have a way to output them to g-code. I'll have to do some research.

Long Drives and Light Wind Days

nice pics Chip!,

I love my easy glider for such days as there's no wind, you can chuck it off and roam around and look for lift, and it's still light enough to thermal if you can find anything. plus it doesn't need the best of landing areas being foam. I was the evil motor guy for a little while when I first got it, but after you can fly and others have to watch a few times it catches on

324 miles for the glider flying, I think next time I'll have to make it an overnight trip.....

dan

Dan,
There are days when my brothers and I go to Table Top and there is zero wind, but still very nice. If we don't play a little frizbee golf, I'll toss my little Ember out (see attached), and enjoy it for a spell. I almost always try to take something along for the times when the wind forecast is wrong, (which seems to be more often than not!)

I certainly understand the long drive for you. Chip and I figured out that it's about 10-15 miles further for me than for him, so there have been times when my brother and I spend the night camping in the area so we don't have so far to drive the next morning. I guess a person really has to be sold on this sport to carry on like we do....huh?

Hope to meet you sooner than later!
Blessings!

Arlen,
That park zone ember looks great!. How fast does it fly? I've been looking for a very small slow plane to fly in the hangar at work.

It is definately a hard sport to get out of my system . I have even thought of moving to a different place just to find a better slope Luckily my electric planes have kept me sane, as we have alot of wind here but it is unusable alot of times due to direction, though Gary has some good spots in belt I believe.

Anyway, I'm rambling. I also look forward to meeting you and your brother, seems like a great family sportage I am gone most of my next time back (june) going to a family reunion and surgery for my daughter, but will try to get something going in august. seems a long way off, but will come too soon i'm sure. I leave this tuesday and can't access this site from my job, so will catch up when I get back.

all the best
dan

Park Zone - Ember

Dan,
That little Ember flys plenty slow, and would easily fly in a hangar. In nasty weather, I fly mine in our smaller sized church gymnasium with great ease. It takes off and lands very well. The batteries last for 10-15 minutes, and I've found this little thing to be a lot of fun for a change from the larger stuff. Check out this website for more details, a video, etc. Just click on the Ember icon at the top, and other options that show up. It explains a couple of different ways of purchasing it, and both are very affordable. Looking forward to your return.
Blessings!
Arlen

Hello from over Billings way. Welcome to the groups. I am really looking forward to one day meeting your boys and sharing a little wind with them. Have a fantastic Mothers Day tomorrow. Hopefully we will have some decent weather and my girls actually WILL be on their best behavior.

I know that Rhino has a tooling path plug in that costs $1000.

The Gcode is the tooling path correct?
