According to this site http://www.rchobbies.org/hitec_laser4.htm the laser 4 already has elevon mixing, so you won't need another mixer.

Wow, what a nice wing!
I built one a couple of weeks ago and I really love it.

Mine came out at 125g ready to fly but that doesn't seem to bother it at all.
it slows down to walking pace if you want to and it has unlimited vertical.
But best of all, it is so forgiving and easy to fly. I normally fly over tall grass and iv'e crashed more times than I can remember, the tall grass absorb the impact and there is not a scratch (yet )

Most of the excessive weight was due to a 620mah battery, wonder how it's like at 100g? Must do some shopping...

No worries Per, glad you like it. I've actually flown mine with a 2s900 as well, didn't slow down quite as well but still flew mighty fine. I'm actually building another one, my original one died a valiant death in combat. I might try to shave a few grams off, carbon pushrods etc.

Actually the next is a 2.2m span wing for AP, and possibly a lightweight front yard flyer, think lazy bee meets cartoon cessna 182 for that one. Kinda hard to beat this wing for fun value though.

Well, after a few months, my wing was born

Nick, take a look, what I did with my wing cutter trying to reach the same
result as yours

I sanded and used a mass - thatīs very light - to take off the imperfections,
the result is amazing!

Now I have to sand it again and think how I will paint it. My sonīs birthday
is arriving (september 7) and it must be ready untill there

I will insert a 2mm fiber glass rod to reinforce, do you think I have to glue
two fiber rods (one on the top and other in the bottom)? I have to cut the
place whereīs the motor fits, but I could not see in the plan

And about the diehdral? Do I have to aplly?

Hi luis

Looks good! No dihedral necessary, but put in 10mm or so if it makes you happier. I inlaid a bamboo skewer in the underside of my second one at the cg point. That has proven to be all the reinforcing required.

Just make the motor stick and cut out the back of the joined wing to clear the triangular brace, so the firewall is hard up against the trailing edge.

I wouldn't paint it, paint is very heavy. Decorate it with spirit markers and run one strip of tape down the leading edge and that will do.

i have been looking for another little project as i have a spare radio and i loveeeeeeeee wings! i might give this one a shot i already have my hotwire set up but i have a problem with the cutting process my TE and LE always comes out thinner than the tip or root anyone know whats going on? i use fishing trace wire cannot remember the thickness if i can work out how to get a even cut i will build one of these little wings

Looks great. I need something aerobatic for my 10 gram motor. Think it would do well with a kf? Would a top or bottom step be better?

i tryed printing the airfoils from profili but it wouldnt let me i than printed out your PDF airfoil and it come out to 23.5cm

Gazza, 23.5cm is right, you lose about 5mm because of the wire kerf, the rest gets trimmed off. Doesn't matter if it's not exact.

RC, I've only ever tried one kf wing, and it was an abject failure. Others have had them work though, so give it a try!

this is the second wing i have cut so its got alot of lines thru the foam where the hot wire wobbled im not sure how to fix it but i managed to get a set of cores cut out im thinking about making a ply keel like on the mini speedwings that gets glued between the two wing half's also mine come out to 670mm and i dont think i can trim off the TE excess as it will be very thick? i donno what to do now

It'll be fine. Just trim the TE to the same thickness as the elevons, exact dimensions aren't crucial. The ply keel works ok but make sure there's a big cutout for the battery, or else the ply edge can dent the battery in an impact. Lightweight doculam or Solite on the wing will bridge the grooves.
