Decals help

Hi All

now that i have some flying time with this AMAZING model, i want to build another one with a nice looking color scheme. for the current plane, i used a4 sticky paper with the color scheme printed using a regular inkjet printer (#1295).

wanted to know what is the best way to create decals for depron models, what materials should i use and where can i buy them (international order). i know that there are decals that use water, glue, airbrush etc but not really sure what is the preferred way in this case in terms of weight, durability, ease of use.

the color scheme i want to use can be found in post
#1320

any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Here's my third flight. (Yes - that's pink camo!) This plane turns on a dime! And on high rates it doesn't so much loop as just pivot in place on its axis. I really enjoy slowing it alllll the way down. My landings are nearly vertical.

Very cool Mark! I really like that video.

Don't you just love that insane flip? What I like to do is go high rate, get it going slow and then nose up, goose the throttle to WOT for about half a second and just let it flip right over in place. Then do it over and over and over again.

flys nice too.
Hey Foxy29 & Jahel,

My plans where from TomHe design and I believe I reduced them to a 17.5" WS. My fuselage was built up using BluCore foam and then I used a dremel tool and shave away until it looked the way I wanted it to. It would be easier to use the front fuselage plans from Steve Shumate(JS44) and reduce them to size. I loved flying this mini F-22 so much that I wanted to go for more. I did move on from this mini F-22 and built a larger edf model based on Steve Shumate's plans enlarged to a 29" WS. I love flying the 29" model more than anything. Here are some pictures of the Mini and the Larger 29" wing span. I also included the video of the 29" WS. I need to update the flying portions with some fresh video to show it's true flight capabilities.

Here is some more recent video of the edf version flying along side my friend's Banana Hobby 70mm F-22. Yes, mine is the faster one! My F-22 is launched second and most of the video I am chasing up to the other.

I felt compelled to get some onboard footage, so I stuck one of my cameras in the electronics bay, looking out the intake duct.

I came within a few inches of crashing it while flirting with a stall ...

Weeee, what a ride! Nice video Mark!

I have a couple of those 808 keychain cams, but still need to pick up some micro SD cards for them.

I also want to stick some strip lights on one and make it a night flyer. That would be pretty cool!

Pat, It's ironic you've posted your "want" ... I've decided to go with a F-22 for the night flying contest at Big Jolt.
