Hey, not a problem. I was gearing up to do some cutting before you had mentioned the kit. It's all good!

Adam,

Quick question. For the fuse section, is that 3mm doubled up to make 6mm? When I printed the plans it looks like the holes are 6mm wide.

thats corrrect pat, a piece of 6mm could be used as well. this is the version 2 design that has this, on the version 1, i only did 1 3mm thick layer, and it is strong enough, the 6mm isnt needed.

OK, thanks. I had thought the later version changed from 3mm to 6mm. I have lots of 6mm scrap lying around, so I'll use that, and use 3mm for the rest of the plane. Hope to have this done and flying by AEF so it can play with it's big brother.

Same one you got from HC originally. Or do you have something better in mind?

Nice leading edges, I think the droop really helps with control on some foam jets. This is a Tomhe Mig-29 I drooped!

Quick question,

What is the angle in degree's the vertical fins should be? Am I getting too technical to ask the question?

Thanks

heheh yeah, any angle will work, what i normaly do is install them last, and use the fuse sides as a guage, i just put the fins at the same angle as the sides.. A cardboard guide can be made at that angle to help while gluing them in place. But they will work at pretty much any angle, just as long as both are the same.

What prop and battery? for indoor?

Hello

Just order some of Adbradley's kits. I'm going to try to fly this indoors in January. Most guys have those Parkzone Cessna’s.

The indoor facility is an oversized basketball court with 30 feet of bleachers on each side.

Watching the video of the f22 in the hanger I see it can be done. What prop and battery should I use?
I am going to buy the

AX 1806N 2500kv Brushless Micro Motor (19g)

Is there a better motor for indoors?

I think you all were using the 5x3 cut down to 4x3. Anybody have Hobbycity link? to the prop.

Here is the prop

you can just use the 5x3 prop if flying indoors, if you are outside and want more speed, id trim it.

here are some batteries

either one should work great

Here is the esc i use

If you want to have more fun, slow it down, cruse up behind one of the cessnas, then knock it out of the air at my field some of my friends were flying slow sticks, and i was toolin around with them to see how close i could get, and twice i bumpped the nose of my f22 on the tail of there slow stick, the f22 just bounced off and kept going, the slow stick didnt move at all, it was fun.

BAtt/motor/ESC combo

Guys the motor selected is perfect for this plane. I use a 2 cell 500mah pack with a super simple 10 amp ESC, 5 gram HC HXT servos and a BERG RX. I find this combo just right. Ad how does it perform with the 3 cell pack? It's definately heavier than the 2 cell but I'm curious about the flight characteristics with the heavier battery. I'm guessing the extra cell would give me more speed (which isn't a bad thing). Marty
