Thx. Glad you enjoyed them. Yes, they are fun to fly. Some of us have the 18 inch F-18, F-15 and the Typhone/Eurofighter. Our next project will be the F-35. The next Gen, Norwegian Fighter. However, so far I think the F-22 have the best performance.

Our set up is, the usual HK 1806, 2500Kv motor and 3s 400mah. 4x4 or 4x3 prop.

Also there isnt much talk of RX's for this sized bird in this thread, what would be an ideal RX?

I have kits in stock, but got sold out of power packages by a bunch of orders right after the recent AZ Electric Festival. Now that the Chinese New Year is over I can order ESCs again, and hopefully my supplier here will get his next stock of Hyperion lipos. I have batteries on backorder with them.

EDIT - I take that back. For kits I am out as well, waiting on CF spar to arrive.

As for the RX, it all depends on what radio system you use. If you fly FM, then any of the Hitec or Berg RXs are good. If you fly 2.4GHz brands, then any of the smaller sized RXs are fine. You don't need more than 3 channels or long range with this plane.

Im prepairing a Hobby King order and I dont know what size control horns to purchase...anyone know or have a link?

What are the current thoughts or is there a consensus on the best prop for the HK 1806N? GWS 5X3 or 4540?

Also do I need to order something to afix the prop to the motor?

I use these horns on mine:

Also I think the motor comes with the prop adapter. I used a different motor on my F-22, so I'm not 100% sure on the adapter or the prop to use. I suggest playing with the prop sizes to find what works best for you.

I've used both the GWS 4530 and GWS 4540. The 4530 is great, provides about 10oz of thrust, and I can get 10 minute flight times from an 850mAh lipo.

Using the 4540, a little bit better thrust, a slightly faster vertical climb, but not much better on top speed, and about 2 minutes less flight time.

yep same prop, i think one is for hobby king the other for else where, ive had em with tgs on the packet and emp on the prop lol from giand cod in the uk. good props too ive yet to break one

I'm printing up the templates for my 3rd one. Got the 1st one from Pat .Gotta have another . This one will be powered with aTurnigy 2030 1700 K V motor . I'm using my 19 gr. motor in a MDC 75% F-14
