This post has pics of my friend flying today after breaking off the nose. Check out the last pic of the inverted landing!

Yes, very strange site seeing it fly without the nose! The inverted landing is also a trip, no broken vertical stabs it seems.

Makes me wonder about building a "Funky 22" with the vertical stabs mounted on the under belly with small wheels then you could ROG now that would be strange indeed!!

At the risk of going just a wee bit off topic here, check out my "Water Raptor"

What do you mean "just in case"? I was without an F-22 for about a month once. Drove me absolutely insane! Now I'm never without one in the inventory for personal use.

Old and new

OK Boys, Pat, here's a shot of the first and second airframes (2nd not quite done yet). I took my time and did a nice job on filling gaps and reinforcing the seams. The second F22 will have the same equipment as the first (it ain't broke so I'm not messing with it). This will include the Spektrum 6110, 5 gram HXT servos, 1806/2500KV motor, 10 amp HKSS 10 amp SC and a 500-800 mah 3 cell battery. Just have to decide on a proper camo scheme. BTW, the original F22 is still going strong wilh many flights on her (right Fran?). Marty

Hey guys sorry to ask this question, but I lost track of the placement of the CG. I have to leave for the evening but hope to get this ready for a maiden for the morning. It might be on my plans at my shop, but I'm not sure. Any help here??

I took one of Marty's pics and put the CG on it. Just behind the notch opening that I marked in a red rectangle.

Also, here's the build guide:

Motor mount

I've decided to not use a stick mount on airframe #2 (if you look carefully at the picture you can see it). I've opted to use a piece of multi layer plywood and epoxy glue it directly to the formers (upper and lower). This will undoubtly provide a strong mounting so I can use the stock round base mount that comes with the motor. More pics to come on the build. Marty

Hey Pat, I got a motor problem on the little guy you sent me. I flew it once, and then I got a new prop to try a 4540 while putting on the new prop, I noticed that the magnet cover is loose and therefore mis aligned. If i push it towards the magnet things line up and it spins freely, but it seems it needs to be pressed back on. I have a drill press I've used in the past to replace shafts, etc as a press, can I press this thing back on somehow? Thanks,

Jeff
