Flew it again, lots of fun! I must have got it balanced right the first time flies better than most of my foamies! Are there more plans out there for other similar birds?!

There sure are. I have plans for an F-15, F-18, SR-71, Eurofighter and Draken that all use the same power system.

F-15

F-18

SR-71

Eurofighter

Saab Draken

Some of these have updated plans later in the threads, so make sure you read all the way through them first.

The SR-71 just looks too cool in the air, but it flies pretty good as well. The Eurofighter is the most stable of the bunch, and it does very nice high alpha and slow flight.

But the F-22 is still my overall favorite.

I am currently flying it with a 5x3 prop, and a 2 cell 620 pack, im going to try a 3 cell soon.

My AUW is 5.5 oz

This plane flys great slow or fast.

I have added the plans in .pdf, Tiled, and Full.
Could you modify it for 9mm depron and about 100 larger also, and make it possible to put in maybe a 55 to 64mm fan instead.

Tubing for inleat and outlet is easy to get just use overhead paper film.

And also make the rudder functional.

That would be so cool if you could do that.

Cheers

There are bigger versions of this plane on this thread:

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=723890

At 28" wingspan and in 6mm depron, a 64mm or even 70mm fan would work.

In addition to the 18.8", I've also built the 28" and converted to EDF with great success (EDF-wise). I've done it with a single 64mm and twin 55mm. Both models exceeded my expectations with regard to performance. Construction material was depapered dollar tree foam (5mm I think). Rudders are functional too. Videos of both versions as well as pics are on my blog page. If u have any questions, feel free to PM.

Still alive and kicking. And the F-22s are still selling well.

Hi,

Some news from germany again - still flying the first F22, still loud, still fun (and yes, still the one with the broken nose)

What's the news? - It's getting dark so early in the day.. i had to do something about it:

F22 - Nightfly (1 min 16 sec)

I know there is not really much to see - but what you see is my beloved F22 with leds attached flying at night.

I already modified it a little, so that now i have at least one strip on top of the plane. - The plan is to get some colored LEDs and put them on the topside.
