Got my jet painted and nearly ready for flight. Decals go on tomorrow and servos need to be glued in. If weather cooperates a test flight will be in order.

mistakenly put the decals on the other vertical stab on the wrong end so I guess I wont be adding the rudders on this. ooops.

oh well still looks good.

OK, so as some of you know, I'm having some heartburn with the current state of the 1806N motors, and the mfgr won't even email me back now.

So I got two of the Firepower 250 Sport motors from Jeff at Heads Up RC. They arrived today, and I will be testing one out hopefully tomorrow. If they work well, I will import these instead.

6mm depron. I found some design master grey primer from michaels works fine no melting. Used two very thin coats.

Hooked up one of the Firepower 250 Sport motors today. On the bench it seems like it has very similar performance to the old 1806N. I have high hopes this motor will work as a replacement.

She flies like a dream.

Two flights today with mixed throttle and no complaints. Made me forget it was about 32 degrees and my hands were cold.

Inverted flying is great, loops great.

I followed up on your recomendation for "Design Master" brand spray paint. In talking with the store clerk, it's supposed to be good for styrofoam/depron. Picked up a can to try it out myself. Thanks!

Did a test flight this evening with the Firepower 250 Sport motor. We have a winner! Now if I can just get them in bulk....
