Yeah, those finger lights are good for bigger and slower models, but would not work that great on the F-22, unless you only used like two of them. I used the Turnigy 12v LEDs from Hobby King. Plane is extremely well lit up and the lights run right off the flight pack.

Pics of my setup are in Post 1479, and a description of how I did it is in Post 1485 of this thread.

I will be headed over Friday night, hit RCX on Saturday, and IE on Sunday. I'll have all of my inventory with me, and some 6mm foam.

Got my 14" F22 dialed in and have flown many times. Received four Gens Ace 450 3s batteries and added to the others I have gives me a bunch of flight time. The F22 rolls and loops very easily with the throws set at maximum. The plane has no bad habits I've found, yet. My trio of F22's have become my favorite planes and they all have been getting a lot of flight time.

Quiet for 2 months, so...... Shameless bump!

No F22 airtime? Pat (of all people) I'd find that hard to believe...

Can you not turn the strip lights over on depron to get the glow effect?
Just curious if depron is too dense to do it.
Everyone prefers them flipped so they are not so blinding.

Oh, I still fly it all the time. In fact, I was just at Western States this past weekend at the Sepulveda Basin in LA, and got many flights on the F-22, including the night flyer version.

Probably a little too dense. I did put white lights on the inside of the electronics bay, but they don't show up very well. I have no issues with the lights stuck directly onto the foam facing up.

Well I added a few leds to the micro and went a bit overboard now it flies like a B52. So i was looking at Scorpion motors and found this:

I think It will spin a small 5.5 prop on 3 cell!

Super, the Cobra motors from Innovative are excellent also and cheeper. They have actual test data with different props on their site. I made a spreadsheet of all their motors so I could check it.

Man, just how many lEDs did you put on it? Mine has 168 and still flies just fine on the stock motor. All told it only added 1 ounce to the AUW.

All those motors from Lucien seem to have a lower kv. I think you're still going to want to go with something from 2500-3000 kv for this plane.
