Yes, if your jet does not want to turn, move the lipo forward. But I think he also needs to bump up to 3S due to severe lack of power. Going from 2S to 3S will also help move the CG forward.

I think you have it, Pat. It just appears to be lack of power. I've got some 3S 500mah batteries ordered, some 3S 450mah's on hand and am waiting on a 3S ESC. Thought I'd give it a go on the 2S batteries while waiting but the 3S are probably the ticket. The slightly heavier 3S will keep me from having to put the battery as far forward in the nose as possible like I have to do the 2S 460mah. Had this same issue on a 24" EPP foamie and the 3S batteries made it a different plane.

My motor is pulling 1.74amps according to my WattsUp wattmeter. This is with the new Sky Lipo 500mah 2S batteries received today from Hobbypartz. Better performance than my existing batteries so we'll see how they perform when I can get her back in the air. |

Swimmer,
That's about right. I checked a set I have in my SR-71. On 3S you'll pull about twice that. Keep in mind, the 1811 can turn a 6"-7" prop on 2S. Max amp draw is around 5.5a. But I have been using small props to go 3S and using small batts (250mAh) to get there. Keep working at it, I'm sure it'll fly. Ksqm |

I have flown my F-22 noseless before. Flies great, but looks kinda funny!

Had to get an F-22 fix, so I went out and flew my night flyer just now.

Speaking of lights...a couple guys showed up at our field Monday night with what they called "finger lights" on their planes. Said they got them at one of the dollar stores. They are small, bright, had no wires, red and green, quick to install and remove and they had velcroed them on the ends, top and bottom, of their wings. Said they fly at night with them.

I've seen that before. They'd be a little heavy for my tiny F-22, but would work fine on many of my planes.
