I'll ask Steve about the Bandits. He let us do the fighters, don't see why we can't do the Bandits too.

Edf f22

Well boys I finally found a 12mm BL motor for my 30mm fan. I looked at my spare F22 Airframe and decided to not tear the motor mount off that I epoxied on already. So that means i will be building my 3rd airframe, but this on will be for the EDF. I won't bore anyone with pics of the build until I come to mounting the EDF. Should be interesting to try. More later. marty

I have visited the Depron distributor here in Perth today …. got 6 x sheets of 6mm (white) … 6 x sheets of 3mm (white) a sheet of 6mm grey and a sheet of 6 mm grey and ALL are full size sheets (not cut down for shipping) Also got 10 tubes of UHU POR adhesive.

I can now look at making some of the models show on here AND I will be able to cut out a LOT of the parts in one piece rather than glue pieces together as the sheets are 1m (39”) x 720mm (28”) when we have them shipped they are only that size.

I am SOOOO looking forward to doing some scratch building again, although “foam” is a very new thing for me to build from, I have always being used to building in ‘balsa” …. apart from maybe the odd foam wing which we always used to cover in 1/16 balsa sheeting anyway.

Think I am going to build the Mini F22 first as I believe this is one of the easier (more gentle) ones to fly.

Lockey

PS. Pat I will use your plans and get your Power Package, this way I can probably have the model finished by the time the power pack arrives.

PPS. Pat, what size is the carbon wing spar? and is it tube or solid?

The carbon spar is 1mm x 3mm flat stick. It stands up straight in the spar channel and the epoxy holds it in place.

There is a build guide for this plane on the website. And also check out this tips and techniques thread I did:

Hey Jesse,

The Pocket Jets are coming along, including the Bandit. Unfortunately, looks like just a pusher Bandit for now. At this scale the EDF version would have to be 40mm. I know there are some hot 40mm setups out there, so I may put one up eventually.

Pat, keep me informed! You just may have one (or two!) I can't live without! After all, that's what "airplane money " is for! Marty

Don't worry, new threads will go up as each one is released. Just keep an eye on the pusher Jet forum.

Started a mini Su29 to go along with the mini F22. Got the painting out of the way first. I used Testors spray bombs. You can see the dimensions based on the measurement on my building board. Roughly fuse length is 19 inches and the wingspan is around 15inches.

BTW Pat, ever consider the 30mm AEORC two cell fan unit for a mini/micro bandit? It might work.
