You are too kind . They fly great we all agree .. But trying to video or take pics at night is dissapointing. But some video beats no video. I saw a neat night flying pic from SEFF where the shutter is left open making long lines of light . I need to try that.

Well I was looking for a cool plane to go with the 20g 2200kv motor I had and ran across this one. From printing plans to complete plane in 4 hrs. Wow! This thing is cool. Great plans!

The main reason I built so quick is going to buddies to camp this weekend. He has a 12 yr. old son that I would like to get flying, I figured what better way to get him interested than a little jet (granted not one to start on)

Well what you think? Not to shabby for 4 hrs if I say so myself.

Well, 4 hours is about what it takes me to do one, but that's from an already cut kit. Having done it from printed plans is awesome!

Well done on the build, I like the paint scheme!

That's an order of magnitude faster than I work, unless you don't mind the wings being crooked and the fins being different sizes and angles.

Concrats. Did you use Depron, or ...?

Well I gotta say I initially built this as a quick throw together plane, but it is quickly turning into my favorite. I love the thrust vectoring effect it has. This thing is a blast to fly. I started doing my landing approaches nice and slow in, then right at last moment do full throttle with full up. It does a loop in about a 1 ft. circle then I lay it down for landing. That sure was impressive. Thanks for the great times and plane.

I'm having a go....

Hi Guys and Gals

I new to these forums and building these things. I had a bit of depron kicking about from repairing my UMX Beast and found the Parkjets website. I saw the 6mm version of this and scaled it accordingly to make the plans. As you can see on the pictures my version has only the Elelvons on it as the moment with the extra thrust vectoring from the larger plans.
As this is my first depron model it was also my first paint job. This has been done with Createx paints sprayed on the model (i think 2 coats, after messing around/ messing up the first coat).
Anyway that's where i'm up to at the moment, and just waiting for parts from Hobbyking. I ordered the parts before i found this thread and thus i think i may have ordered "too light". I'm looking at a fitting a micro brushless 2000kv motor running on a 10a speed controller from 2s batteries.
Anyway if anyone has any advice to help a new guys don't hesitate to let me know.

Can anyone recommend a size to build this to go with a Grayson super mega jet running 2x 2s 800ma in parallel. Basically a 2s 1600, I would be running a 6x4 prop. I am so happy with how this flies I want a bigger one.

This plane is actually a shrunken down version of a larger plane:

That SMJ would be perfect for it, but I would highly recommend using a 3S 1300-1800 lipo. It will be a dog on 2S.

Well I finally did it. So far, I've damaged the plane once by trying to catch it and knocking it to the ground, once when the Tx slid into it in my trunk and knocked a fine slightly loose, once when a gust of wind caught it on the ground and flipped it onto its back, slightly loosening one fin.

Today, an ill-advised front yard flight resulted in an ... arboreal landing. No damage was done going in, but the plane slid backwards in the branches and hyper-extended one elevon. Now my control horn is slightly loose.

Man, all I do is fix this thing!
