Be Careful!!

Just checked the MSDS sheets on the four versions of STICK IT. All contain ACETONE. the ingredient that melts syrofoam.

Depending on the version, 10, 15, or 20% acetone. That is better than 3m-77, 30-40% acetone. Comparable to DURO's spray adhesive at 15-20%.

Still looking for spray adhesive without acetone.

So KBSting, what type of foam did you spray it on that it didn't melt it. Probably EPP. EPP is hard to melt. I"m sure if you sprayed it on EPS it would still melt it. What do you think.

stick it

I tested it on styro foam, and epp, it did not melt it, sprayed a large puddle of it and " NO" melting, dried clear too.

Thanks for doing the melt test for us. Which version are you using?

I've got some old 77 left for styro, and have been using DURO for EPP, but will have to give it a try when the 77 runs out.

Hey ke6guj, what does that stand for. I hate abbreviations. Be more specific. I have used GHID, GHKO, GHKO, LKDM, does that mean anything to you. What exactly is it that you used. Geez

KE6GUJ is my Ham Radio callsign. Don't use it anymore, but when I started playing online, I used it, and I have ever since. Don't have to worry about going to a new forum and find out someone else is using my name

What do the above abbreviations mean, never heard of them?

Jack

Sorry Ripley, first time I read it, I thought you were asking what KE6GUJ stood for. Now I read to mean what does DURO stand for.

DURO is the brand name for a Spray adhesive that some people are using instead of the new 3M-77.

I'm using the general purpose type, it may contain acetone but so does the old 77, but it does'nt melt styro, I like the strength of it , it sems to hold better than 77, especialy for the covering, no bubbling.
