Dangerous!...Kevlar cutting with olfa wheel in dremel
Just messin around.. don't do this at home. They cut industrial fabric using a spinning disk. I attempted to replicate this with an olfa wheel in the dremel.
4 layers of 6oz kevlar cut like hot knife through butter!!
If this movie is too dangerous and irrisponsible of me I am happy to remove it.
ps Don't cut your fingers off!!

Thanks tomahawkflier.. no they were only designed for 3 rpm.
I'm not an engineer.. wonder what the designed rpm is for a 30mm tool steel disk is? The real danger is the kevlar catching and the unproctected blade spinning at 30,000 rpm wipping off a few fingers before you can say oh...
as I said don't do this at home... I usually use the attachment at low rpm to hold the blade while I sharpen it... promise i had the wife watching.. next best thing to parental supervision.

Is that cured Spectra or dry matting (I know dumb question, but I thought I'd ask anyway )?
Also I only just got a Dremal for xmas (the new small Lithium one that fits nicely into your hand), so is an olfa the same as what is used to cut through metal (a thin grinding wheel)?

It is 6oz (200gsm) kevlar cloth - looks and feels like heavy hessian (weat sack material).
Old saying...the only dumb question is the one you didn't ask - can't guarentee my answers though
wish my santa read your wishlist.... I want one!
Olfa wheel is out of a rotary cutter... commonly used to cut glass cloth in a very simple fashion.
