OK guys, here is the skinney.

68" wing span

545 sq in of wing area (this is very close, can't remember the exact number)

Power 25 or Power 32.

4.9 lbs with a Power 25 on wheels and it weighs a cool 6.2 pounds on floats with a Power 32 and 4S.

The floats are from E-flite, our 25 sized fiberglass floats.

A wire float mount is included with the model if you wish to fly off of floats.

There are two holes in the battery hatch, but they are actually plastic cups. You can cut the cups out and have two holes for land operations, or leave the cups in place and fly off water, no water gets inside the model. (See I was paying attention to those Cub threads a year ago). Please read the instructions on how to open the hatch, it will make it much easier!

Elevator, rudder, and tailwheel linkages are all concealed in the fiberglass tail cone.

The only exposed control horns are on the aileron.

Fiberglass fairings for the main landing gear are installed, as are the wheels.

Simple cockpit kit that includes two pilots is available separately. Yes you get two pilots with the cockpit kit, if you want four on board you buy the second set.


Plane flies incredibly well, I would venture to say our best yet possibly.

It will debut at the AMA show in Ontario California next week. Should be in dealers stores by late Febuary.

You civilian scale guys had better order one of these. Being a military guy myself, I don't like doing too many targets.

Dave, Hangar 9 isn't planning on coming out with a 46 size beaver like they did the pawnee are they? That had me all confused when e-flite releases a pawnee, then Hangar 9 trumps it -don't you guys talk?

From what I've seen so far, I'm very disappointed with the landing gear struts and fairing to fuselage,.... major room for improvement there. The rest looks pretty nice.

I'll watch the threads, but doubt I'll get it. My hanger is full right now.

I thought I saw a rock on her left hand. At first I thought it was the tail wheel. I'm going to download a pick to show my wife (one without Shanin so when I say "I want one", she won't get the wrong idea! ), My B'day is in April.

I have to say I am quite surprised to hear about the landing gear struts. We felt we were pretty close with what we came up with when compared to the picture of the one we modeled. We couldn't duplicate them all the way, we still have to mass produce these things guys.

Overall, this looks like an outstanding scale model. The landing gear is pretty darn close. I mean yeah, it doesn't have shoe prints on it or bug splats and all... but the rest of it is really right on for an ARF that you can have flying really quickly. Outstanding work guys!

Beautiful Beaver! The struts look fine to me. I wish it could be a little lighter, though. At over 20 oz./sq. ft., I think that's too much wing loading for very realistic flight for a Beaver. The real thing is working to get over 140 mph cruise.

You have got to be kidding me! Not even close.

Don't misunderstand me , I'm not trying to start a fire,... but with all the talk of how much work went into the tail on the AT-6 and how scale >it< was,.... In my opinion you dropped the ball on the landing gear struts. BUT,... it's only my opinion,... yours, and others may be entirely different. That's OK. I'm just stating >my< opinion. It's a very nice looking model other than that.

This is really nice but I can't just fly that in a typical football field or local park; a park flyer version of this in a size 10 or so would be nice.
