Chi/John continues to produce "one of kind" models & the depth to which he goes to generate these very unique "works of art" goes way beyond the handsome exteriors we see in the pictures. The engineering he puts into each of his models makes them even more special. What may start out a run of the mill little toy, in his hands becomes a unique and really, kind of a thing of wonder, or a "wonderful thing". Keep um comin!

Winter time on the forum has traditionally produced a lull in the activities. Here in the Southern part of California, we are experiencing our form of winter, which for you guys in the really cold areas is more like spring time. It is in the 30s and low 40s at night and we have had some rain and snow to boot.

All the rain is really welcome, but for us "fair weather" types these not the best sailing conditions.

I know you lumberjack types are laughing, but I am getting to the point where the cold damp conditions keep me around the fireplace more than in the past

I have been working on projects during the cold snap and I have finally gotten the new house to a point I consider it done! I've got a few little finishing touches I'd like to do, but for now, it's back to getting my fleet ready of the conditions to improve.

Chidago reports he has just about finished painting my Seawind, and if he can get one more day in the spray booth he can finish applying the clear coat. Then it's back to California for completion and some sailing. I am looking forward to posting some pictures of more of his artistry with a spray gun once I get it back together.

I am making some mod's to my FW lll "motor sailor" which are well on their way and soon to be ready for a west coast Sea trial. The Nirvana is ready, and the V 32 his having a few minor upgrades so by the time we get some sunshine, I'll be ready.

That's my story and I'm stickin to it,

I've got no good excuses over here. While most are inside avoiding the cold over there, I am was inside running from the heat over here.

1st Regatta of the Season over here this coming weekend. Running a MM Class, IOM Class and an Open Class (Seawind, Nirvana etc).

Looking forward to getting out on the water.

Was hopping to get to the pond today but the wind is guesting up over 30mph. In fact the wind rattles the lani doors in the condo. If you were followingthe pro golf in Maui you saw the wind blowing and weather so bad that they cancelled the first two days of the tour. Don't mind some wind but when the boat will be sailing on its side its time to go home.

LOL.. yeah, they aint much fun it that..guys the winters are when we had our most entertaining times here..guns, girls, cars, etc, made it the great thread it is..I would just hate to say it WAS..to many things we know are going the way of the Hemi..becoming extinct..

Supposed to be in the 60s here in the mountains this week so I know we will get some sailing in, just don't know if it will be Nirvanas or Seawinds. Will try to remember the camera. Just noticed that the Seawind nationals are going to be in June in Wichita, Kansas.

We drain the stills when we want to sail, then put it back to make more shine.

I do miss me some good mountain water. I gave away about 3 quarts when I moved over here.
