Do I have a bad servo? It's only about 6 months old and maybe a dozen hours of total service.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
This is one of the few shortcomings of the Nirvana. The servos are cheap junk...replace the sail servo with...Hitec HS 645 MG...or something stronger....you can drop in just about anything for the rudder and it will be better than what you had...I use the Hitec HS 322 HD standard servo with good service life for many years now.

Raehm, I replaced my sail servo with a s3802, and put the original sail servo in place of the rudder servo, seems to work well.

Because sailboats are so slow, and really cant get in trouble, people keep trying to hope your radio gear will start working correctly. it wont.

If it were a plane, fast boat, or car, it would destroy itself. replace the servo.

Chidago....

Thanks for that. Got a suggestion on what servo to buy and where to buy it?

Thanks!

Thanks for that. But do the stock servo arms fit into (screw into) on the Hitec servos?

Thanks,

To end my little jet build, today I finished tuning the boat, worked out better than I expected, it turns much harder than I thought I could make it do, its so little, it cavitates so easily..

Using unequal trim tab length fixed it, as I said, its gonna be used primarily as a sprint boat, not just a rock climber..

The vid will make you sick, but, its ABOUT the turning..

Raehm, either Crash's suggestion or the 3802 Futaba will give you what you need..depends what you wanna spend..

Look waaay back in the tread, 2-3 pages on the servo arm, plus a few good arguments on the "servo saver" built into the sail arm..you will get all you need to know in this thread about anything on the boat, the guys have beat any, and every issue to death and beyond..

But, the correct answers and fixes are here too..

Got any looking from shore at it while running?
