For those of you having trouble with the original picture, trying turning your computer monitor round a quarter of a turn

For us here is Australia, it was the other way up anyway (grin)

I bet those sails will be hard to sail with, because they will be hard to see at a distance.....

An excellent point - glad you have your priorities in order! Toys first!

The clear sails are very cool looking but as mrpenguin so wisely point out will be hard to "read" at any significant distance. Adding some form of color - numbers, design or logo would help. Directional lines and arrows in a bright color red might help as well.
Time will tell.

First sailboat and maiden voyage

The winds died down but I think I like this as much as my RC planes.

Nirvana II maiden cruise in very light winds. (1 min 16 sec)

Gotta admit, (although I like traditional white sails), they do look good.

Part of it is the neat workmanship and trimmings.
Nice work.

All those dangling antenna wires sort of take away from it though, you might want to run those up the backstay, or switch to 2.4 (no wires)

A sailboat heeled over with sails filled, will always attract an appreciative eye, no matter what size it is.

I've had two wedding photographers so far ask me to keep my Nirvana in their view finder while they took bridal pictures around the cement pond.

The other evening a cinematographer was taking pictures of my boat and my friends' Victoria, and before he left he told us he is doing a documentary for PBS and we might see our boats on TV.
Everybody loves sailboats!!

Yup!

These were all taken with my cell phone, so not the greatest.

Presumably the cinematographers' camera was of better quality.

Also, he took his movie a bit after dusk so our navigation lights/leds would show up better.
There are lights around the edge of the pond too.

There are usually a few more boats here, but this night we had the pond all to ourselves.

You'll notice the spectators having dinner up on the balcony.
We sometimes get thanked afterwards by the dinner patrons for the show.
