Hey Boomer, how's the sailing at Harveston Lake?

I'm only a few miles from there, but normally go up to Menifee Lakes, private community, where my future in-laws live.

Fairwind update..Steve at sailrc.com, will be pricing at $499.00, this includes shipping, and none of the boats are old style keel weight installed boats.

Anyone who has bought a Nirvana knows how good of service and support you get from him, so, if anyone is in the mood for a 'Wind, give him a call...

I have been there once so far, and thought the winds were pretty steady. There is a nice place to sit in the shade with a deck chair at the shoreline. I think having a rescue boat with you is a good idea. I don't know how deep the lake is but there are a couple of good size fountains on the opposite side of the area the guys were sailing that day I was there.

I need to learn the set up there to really able to give you an accurate report. But the setting is terrific - you can park your car pretty close to the area the guys are sailing from.

I am spoiled - because all I have to do to sail at the resort is put a boat on the back of my golf cart and drive over to my sailing lake. Takes about a minute. All at the guys at the resort use their golf carts to sit in while sailing. We have music - beverages and a comfortable shaded place to sit!

When I go to Harveston I will have to get used to carrying a chair, my boats and my refreshments. .

Shoot me a PM with your phone number - we can plan a met and do some sailing!

That is a pretty darn good price. Most of the places I have seen are getting $540 plus shipping.

hmmm, the Bill I was targeting isn't the Bill in question. My deepest apologies to Sound Sailor for assuming he was who he is not.

Firstly I did not name you or any names in my post . You chose to identify yourself ASSUMING it was you.
Secondly I will not stoop to resurrect all the old posts that caused such an uproar.
Thirdly I will not corrupt this site by discussing it here and have it become what you caused it to become there where you spoke for "ALL Canadians" (your words) by insulting ALL Americans. That got you a timeout. Your last sentence could be construed as trolling and get you another one.

Goodbye sir

Bill

I was mistaken, and have apologized. The name and a certain phrase lead me to believe it was another Bill who I've had dealings with.

Sir,
Please do not start this up again. No one here cares about it. You don't know Bill and we do - he does not make up stories.

I don't understand why you like to stir things up? Simmer down.

I went through all messages after Sound Sailor PM'd me. I'll ask to be excused for this one because it was too close and could easily have been mistaken, not to mention I've been at sea almost a month and I'm in no mood for any horse play.

It's not the right spot I know but I'll post it here to help anyone who might want a Pro Boat 47' USCG RTR, although it might be a bit hard to get. It's in South Africa at Lagoon Hobbies.
