OK. To get a discussion going (however brief it may be) ...

How do I register my Nirvana with the AMYA?

Are you a member of the AMYA ? If not that would be the first step. To be a member requires paying an annual membership fee (each year you choose to be an active member)
I was a member but have not renewed my membership. At this time, I don't see a benefit to me. That could change? But for now I am not an active member.
Boomer

I've been on some other threads promoting the many benefits of owning a Nirvana - got some new owners coming on board -

Yup. I m an AMYA member though haven't registered any boats yet. I'm of the mind that I should be part of and have input into the organization and boat classes I will register for ... the Nirvana being one class.

I'm also going to build a Star 45. The laser cut bulkheads and the wood order arrived this week. The keel bulb has been ordered. Tomorrow I am heading to the hobby shop to pick up some stringer material. The boat is next on the build list after the 1:144th WW2 Sharnhorst refit is complete. Once the Star 45 is done, it will be registered also.

I just put a red one on order. This is going to be my first sailboat, and I'm a little excited to try something different. A few of us from the offroad rc racing track here in ft. walton beach, Fl have decided to add sailboats to our collection and I picked the nirvana to start with. From what I've read it looks like a great boat.

Hiya brrneon. Welcome to the Nirvana nirvana. Heh.

You will like the boat. Personally, I think it is the best RTR boat on the market at it's price range. They sail great.

Racing in Ft Walton Beach? Then you must be a regular at B&T's track. I was a regular there and the community center track when stationed at Hurlburt Field in the late 80s. Heck, I remember when Bud and Tim first built that track. Heh. I dropped into the store a few years ago to say hi. The track looks awesome and it was good to see Tim again.
