I dunno, I gotta figure 40 bucks, the rig goes in its own huge box that Dennis built for it, plus the original box the boat comes in..

UPS, FED EX, & USPS all charge by the cube and then the weight. I saw a picture of the containers Dennis made and they looked like they'd fall into that "oversize" category. A standard Nirvana in the factory box runs about $26 - $29.
I suspect it'd be over $40.

If you estimate high and it's less - it's a good thing.

There was very little wind this afternoon, so testing was not very exciting. The sun makes the colors really "pop" with the boat on the water.

I was able to do a little sail trimming, decided I don't like the line I used for the sheets. To course - the bowsies don't slide very well on it. I''ll switch it Saturday to a smoother line. The set up worked well - so I'll leave it in place and hope for more wind to get the boat dialed in. Not to bad so far. I need to put the weight on the stern - like to get the bow up a tad.

I try again tomorrow, hope we'll have more wind.

I have decided it is hard to sail the boat and take the pictures at the same time.

Thanks Capt Absent for the kind words.

Chidago and Boomer,

No intent of attitude was intended nor accusation of ill repute, especially towards Chidago. I understood where and from whom the boat came from because I read the posts from back around page 80. My only intent was to not let the raffle die.

Perhaps everyone here on the thread knows what is happening but ppeople on RCgroups don't. By that I intend to mean those who were invited to the raffle as I was when I saw the "invitation/announcement" over a month ago.

I admit I don't check the Classifieds all the time so could have missed other announcements for the raffle.

My whole idea was to just try to put some excitement into the raffle idea.

So, if anyone took offense, my sincerest apologies. Perhaps I need to be using smiles more/better.

Bob

For instance, page 3 defines that Lithium batteries are not allowed; page 4 talks about sail protectors; don't want to leave out page 1, which tells everything you need to know about Nirvana sail boats, rules, etc. and somewherer in the first four pages is a source for string.

In other words, whats a nugget?
