The alternative to solving the submarine problem is to just paint her yellow and add a periscope....

Yup..and a screen door for emergencies..Robert, unscrew the forward mount, move the front mount hole to the rear hole on the deck, and just use 1 screw to hold it for a test run, that takes it back a lot, see if it helps..

Has anyone compiled all of the "great" information that has come through on this string into one source where a newbie could go and reference things like "Nascar Nirvana" specs, "adjustment pics from Dennis", how about those "Walrus" sail you guys brag about, control rigging adjustments, "Trim and Main Sail downfall" (I don't know what it means but I have bookmarked an article by Mt Steve Lang that I intend to read), that jib boom adjustment of recent pages and how about the one about a small weight on the front of the jib sail (I think) and tons of other bits of useful information.

What I'm talking about is just the "Golden Nuggets" and leave all the 'chit chat' behind. The "Nuggets" are for the 'Newbie', the chit chat is for those who are experienced friends on this string.

Just a thought.

An idea of this magnitude should be rewarded. I say Bob's reward should be something at the same high level as his idea.
What better reward than to get to be the one to build the knowledge base!

I was waiting for that one! It would be like the blind leading the blind. Talk about a sinking ship.

SOMEONE, myself excluded of course, COULD cut and paste all the "nuggets" so to speak, in one huge post, which would take a whole page, which would be easily referred to, such as, " yo, newbie, go read page 231, then come back see us."

And, after all that tireless work, all the people will critique it to death, and say stuff like, "good job ---- ------ , BUT, you should have, and remembered yada yada yada"....
